A restoration project carried out by a couple in love with Abruzzo, this place, and the idea of providing authentic and tasteful hospitality. Not just a simple B, but a true relais, a noble ancient and elegant house with the comforts of a “smart home”. The structure has 5 bedrooms of various sizes with private bathrooms and two common areas available to guests, as well as a swimming pool; some rooms still preserve the original hand-painted frescoes on the ceiling from the 1800s. Upon request, it is possible to have wine and oil tastings of local production and a walk in the property’s vineyards to fully immerse yourself in “the atmosphere of the territory. For this structure, we have imagined pairing it with an” equally refined experience:
THE ATLANTIS OF ABRUZZO IN EUROPE’S CLEANEST RIVER
Ancient submerged mills, crystal-clear waters, a small electric boat with a transparent bottom: these are the ingredients that allow you to admire the wonders of Lake Capodacqua.
Thanks to the low water temperature of around ten degrees, we will be able to discover a submerged world, fascinating and mysterious: fish, aquatic plants, and a human settlement consisting of a dye works and two adjacent mills that enclose a wonderful little square surrounded by stone paths and cobblestones.
A wonder you don’t expect!
In the surroundings, you will have the opportunity to navigate the transparent waters of the Tirino River, go on e-bike and/or horseback excursions, visit the medieval villages of Gran Sasso, explore L’Aquila, the Italian Capital of Culture 2026, and much more!
